There are different methods on how to prepare plantain chips. However, the common plantain chips you see around are usually fried.

You will agree with me that plantain chips are crunchy, you would have eaten a lot of them before you realize it. There is this special taste plantain chip have, that makes them super sumptuous.

Only a few people would say they do not like plantain chips, anyways, plantain is loved by many.

I particularly love those long-fried plantain chips sold by the road whenever I am traveling. and I know you must have come across them as well.

Plantain chips are yellow or gold-like crunchy food, and they are quite easy to prepare, all you need is a bunch of plantains, Cooking oil, sugar(optional), and salt(Optional). 

INGREDIENTS

  • Plantains 
  • Cookin Oil 
  • Salt to taste (optional)
  • Black pepper  (optional)

MAKING YOUR PLANTAIN CHIPS

  • Peel the skin off the plantain
  • Using a knife, slice plantains into long, thin stripes.
  • Although this is optional, season the plantain with salt and black pepper. 
  • Heat up cooking oil enough to deep fry the plantains. 
  • Add the plantains and fry them turning them over continuously until they become golden and crispy.

Plantain chips can be eaten whilst drinking your favourite drink. Apart from Plantain chips, there are other snacks you can try out they include’ Meat pie, Chicken pie, Doughnut, and sausage roll.
